- If using wooden skewers, soak as directed on package to avoid burning. Preheat grill to medium heat.
- In a small bowl, add brown sugar, hot water, salt, vanilla extract, Aleppo pepper and chili powder, stirring well to combine; set aside.
- Slide pineapple and mango cubes onto skewers.
- Onto a large plate, pour half of the glaze, and roll skewers in glaze to coat.
- Transfer skewers to grill; brush with remaining glaze while cooking.
- Cook skewers for 7 to 10 minutes, until browned and caramelized.
