Method
- In a 1-quart saucepan over medium heat, melt butter; add onions and cook for 5 minutes, until onions are fragrant and translucent.
- Reduce heat, whisk in brown sugar and cook, whisking, for 2 minutes.
- Add Dijon, Bourbon and vanilla, whisking continuously, until sauce is combined and warmed through.
- Remove from heat and pour over your favorite protein before serving.
