Ingredients
- 4 tbsp Unsalted Butter
- 1/2 cup Wholesome! Organic Dark Brown Sugar
- 1/2 Frontier Co-op Vanilla Bean or 1/2 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
- 1 Frontier Co-op Cinnamon Stick
- 1 tbsp Brandy or other brown spirit Cognac, Whiskey, or rum
- 1 tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice
- 2 Bananas Sliced
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat until slightly bubbly.�
- Add the organic dark brown sugar and stir it in with a wooden spoon.�
- Add the vanilla bean (but not the extract, if that’s what you’re using) and the cinnamon stick and stir to combine and releases the vanilla seeds.�
- Continue cooking until the sugar starts to caramelize, 2 to 3 minutes.
- Carefully stir in the brandy and lemon juice, and continue cooking until the syrup becomes caramel-smooth, 2 to 3 minutes.�
- Add the banana slices (and vanilla extract if using) and swirl to coat them in hot syrup and warm them, about 1 minute.�
- Serve immediately.�

Optional: serve on top of your favorite vanilla ice cream, or dress up your pancakes, waffles or oatmeal.
