Ingredients
  

  • 4 tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 1/2 cup Wholesome! Organic Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 Frontier Co-op Vanilla Bean or 1/2 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Frontier Co-op Cinnamon Stick
  • 1 tbsp Brandy or other brown spirit Cognac, Whiskey, or rum
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 2 Bananas Sliced

Instructions
 

  • Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat until slightly bubbly.�
  • Add the organic dark brown sugar and stir it in with a wooden spoon.�
  • Add the vanilla bean (but not the extract, if that’s what you’re using) and the cinnamon stick and stir to combine and releases the vanilla seeds.�
  • Continue cooking until the sugar starts to caramelize, 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Carefully stir in the brandy and lemon juice, and continue cooking until the syrup becomes caramel-smooth, 2 to 3 minutes.�
  • Add the banana slices (and vanilla extract if using) and swirl to coat them in hot syrup and warm them, about 1 minute.�
  • Serve immediately.�

Notes

Optional: serve on top of your favorite vanilla ice cream, or dress up your pancakes, waffles or oatmeal.
